Creating my new Star Trek recurrent OC
Added 2023-10-02 15:12:37 +0000 UTCThis weekend there was a small event dedicated to Star Trek in my city, as the fan club "Star Trek España" was celebrating its 15th anniversary. I thought it would be a good opportunity to test for the first time my new character concept, the TOS Andorian redshirt security officer; so I took a bunch of test pictures for posing references once I finished the make-up.
The name of this new character is Siresh (Siresh Sh'avaonat), and she was born from my aesthetic taste for Andorians, after thinking that given their passionate and warlike character they could be great security officers... well and because the blue skin looks spectacular in contrast with a red uniform Lol
Besides, we know that Andorians are one of the founding races of the Federation, but we rarely see any of them in the Starfleet (thanks Strange New Worlds for Hemmer!). The series where their culture is most explored is Enterprise, but it is set just before the founding of the Federation of Planets, so I wanted to create this concept set in the TOS era.
This character's personality I want it to be very opposite to Vulcans which I tend to cosplay a lot. She is gonna be very passionate and provocative, which will lead her to be an officer with a tendency to make some trouble for time to time if she goes too long without action missions. I like to imagine her personality to be somewhere between a mix of Ro-Laren and Tasha Yar but of course with a touch of Shran... This month I'll create as her introduction an exclusive photoset just for patrons 💙

Yeah, it's been an annoyance that we don't see the Andorians or Tellarites much in the newer Trek. I get the makeup is a lot, though. Fantastic job. :)
