What was the first video you saw on my channel, and what video made you subscribe?
- Well, since I can't answer this question, I'll just give a brief history of how I started YouTube. I started watching reaction channels a year before I started (2022). One of my favorite channels was Alana Misako. Y'all probably don't know her cuz she only does anime reactions. I really loved the vibe of her videos, and our personalities were pretty similar. So one day I was like "bro I should totally try this-- you watch stuff all the time, might as well record it" -- and I've been doing it ever since

The first vid I saw of yours was your Derry Girls reaction. That’s one of my fav shows and I was looking for reactions to do a mini re-watch. You had such insightful and funny commentary. I found you to be one of the most genuine and thoughtful reaction channels I’ve ever seen. I started watching The Good Place because of you too! And I love your art! Dedicated fan!

I came to Patreon after you started Hill House, The Good Place and Ted Lasso and now I always have a few shows/movies to watch w you guys in the queue. You’re literally just checking off all my faves(:(: I love getting to see them thru the eyes of other people and hearing how similarly or differently they felt and what moments impacted them the most. It almost feels like getting to rewatch for the first time all over again. I love watching your reactions for your introspection and vulnerability and because you have some funny ass one liners that joke me tf out🤣

Joined Patreon, and I also shared your info in an IWTV FB group. Through you, I found FoxTaco. It's been such a wonderful discovery! I've watched almost every show you've selected along with you: The Wire, Severance, The Good Place, Schitt's Creek, Hannibal (except S3), Adolescence, I May Destroy You, Midnight Mass, The Haunting of Hill House, River (!!!), Fleabag, Ted Lasso along with at least 5 movies, possibly more. I also want to thank you for resurrecting my obsession with Succession -- I feel the same way about that show as I do about IWTV and Severance because when I'm watching them it's all I can think about in the off time. I truly become obsessive. To be honest, I didn't think Succession was for you b/c "rich white people" didn't scream Franklin to me and because I had a hard time getting into it (and then I was hooked). I am so glad I was proven wrong and that you are enjoying it so much. I look forward to it every week now, and I think about it every day in between. Now, if you'd stop pushing it back a day each week . . .😉😂😩

A few shows and movies later and I'm hooked! You're the GOAT of this Franklin, glad you're doing these reactions. Algorithms suck but we're here for the long haul ❤️ (don't consider the heart colour, I had never heard of the code before Adolescence either)

There’s some reactors when the movie or show ends they just say bye thanks for watching with no discussion or worse only put the discussion portion on Patreon. Anyways, I like your vibe and plan to stay subbed even if there are times you watch things I haven’t seen etc.

I subscribed because I liked your take on it (re: Jenny not being the generic “villain” of the story) but then the algorithm completely forgot about you for almost a year until you started The Good Place. After the first couple of episodes, I decided it would be a travesty to limit myself to your edited YouTube videos anymore.

So interesting that she inspired you –I see it! You two definitely have a similar warmth and authenticity that comes through. I think the first vid of yours I came across was Train To Busan. Omg i just checked and I've been following you since december of 2023 and I think the first video I saw was you reacting to Forrest Gump. And why I followed you is easy - aside from being positively surprised with a long discussion you always have about what's going on in the film (which I love, it's so much more interesting and thoughtful than just gasps and "wow"s imo) - I would always follow creators who immediately sympathise with Jenny and have some reactions to cartoons or anime on their channel, it's just a little algorithm I have lol. If I see a male reactor sympathise with Jenny that tells me he's not misogynistic (the amount of times she was villanised in other people's videos is genuinely concerning). At some point in my life I've started seeing misogyn absolutely. everywhere. so it's always nice to not be met with it at least in some spaces on the internet. And if reactors see cartoons of any type worth reacting to - that shows the emotional intelligence I respect immediately (again, the amount of people who won't even watch anything animated bc it's "for kids" is wild). I have been randomly watching reactions since the end of 2022 and I think I've followed every reaction channel I picked using the same algorithm and not once was I disappointed 🤭 I hope it doesn't sound disheartening, but the context is that I spend up to 8 hours most days a week watching reactions in the background of most of the things I'm doing. To do that - I need to really really enjoy the person I'm watching, otherwise I'd be cringing the whole time lol
