2025-08-03 17:11:22 +0000 UTCThis show is 100% about the characters. I love Greg Nicotero's make-ups, truly astounding. But that isn't what kept me tuning in week by week for years. It is the character arcs and relationships all the way. Can't tell you how many white people I've seen not understand the Hettie McDaniel reference. I'm with others in the fandom that believe Lori & Shane were hooking up before the end of the world. The more I watch the first season, the more I believe it.

2025-05-09 23:16:39 +0000 UTCHey, in this episode Daryl mentions "On Golden Pond" That is the title of a great 1981 movie, powerful story. Stars some major actors from back in the day. Katherine Hepburn, Henry Fonda along with his daugther, Jane Fonda. Henry Fonda was 76 and Katharine Hepburn was 74 when the film was made. Both Hepburn and Henry Fonda are legendary and seeing them acting in their twilight years is just awesome. Henry Fonda won the Academy Award for Best Actor, and Katharine Hepburn won the Academy Award for Best Actress. The film also won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. It was the second highest-grossing film of 1981 in North America. If you ever view this film you will note that Hepburn had what is called Essential Tremor which is a progressive neurological disorder characterized by involuntary, rhythmic trembling of the hands, head, and other body parts, but is not the same as Parkinson's.
