I've watched the first season of one in particular twice and then countless more times via reactions and I weep damn near every time (especially episode 3). The last exact time I can pinpoint though was last Tuesday. Trauma therapy - such fun. That one gave me an eyeball hangover.

My dad died last week and I haven't cried on that yet (complex relationship), but I did shed a few tears on the ending of The Iron Claw (again) and Adolescence (again). Being a somewhat new father has that kinda thing hitting me hard, I guess. I use parentheses a lot, lol.

2025-04-27 17:35:15 +0000 UTCI have been crying so much this month! 😭 I am just starting a renovation, I became an auntie to a baby boy*literally two days ago!!* and I just got a new freelance client that I have to adjust to, so it's all overwhelming and I have been sobbing regularly: I cried with puppy videos, I bawled watching the late Pope comfort a kid who asked if he would see his atheist dad in Heaven, I cried when it took me 14 calls (I counted!) to get a new tax form update, and I cried when I met my nephew! I swear I don't usually cry this often, but it's been quite a month! (Oh, and I bawled my eyes out watching the Iron Claw with your reaction too, that movie is so brutal, but so clear as well. It should be better known, but I think it went underrated because it doesn't present tough masculinity as heroic. But I wish more men would watch it!)

Can I coax you to join the Anne with an E watches on Fridays? From reading you here, I think we have very similar taste, and it's one of my favorites and very delightful (the pilot episode it's intense, but it gets really wonderful, I promise).

I have to beg you to react to the 1980s miniseries (2 eps) afterwards (I have it on file, I swear I'll share it if it's unfindable), because it's the legendary one we grew up with, and it has the *best* Gilbert Blythe, no contest. I'm so seated for this!

Have been under a black cloud with multiple home repairs needed all happening close together. That's the only time I really hate being single bc it's hard to go through all of that alone.
