THIS WEEK!
Added 2024-10-22 17:35:03 +0000 UTCHello friends :)
Fall has started to settle in slowly. I hope you all are looking forward to the change in season and all the goodness that comes with it. To everyone here on Patreon, both new and old members, I hope you all have been having a good time and enjoying the shows and movies we've been covering. I'm very happy to have you all hereπ
Things to note:
I'll be going out of town for a trip on Friday and I'll be gone till early next week. I will be offline and there will be no videos posted during this time. Feel free to use that time to catch up on my older videos on the channel. There are 50+ movie reactions and dozens of TV show episodes to get through.
Speaking of movies, I just posted a new movie poll, so make sure you vote and get a glimpse of what's coming. Also, if there are specific movies that you absolutely want me to cover - I have a Movie Request Tier here on Patreon where I cover any movie of your choosing once a month. This tier essentially allows you to "skip the line/polls" for me to cover a movie of your choice (feel free to direct message me for more information before signing up)
Here's what to expect this week:
Monday 21
Fleabag 1x5
Tuesday 22
The Wire 2x6
Wednesday 23
Hannibal 1x6
Thursday 24
(winner of current movie poll)
Friday 25
Offline
Saturday 26
Offline
Videos are mostly posted in the evening. Videos may appear on the following day in your timezone.
Weekly Question: Do you have any phobias?
Thinking about my response to this question just took me down a rabbit hole of discovering the immense amount of phobias people have that I never even thought of before. And I will share with you some of the things I just learned. Most phobias can be grouped into these:
Animal Type: Common examples include fear of dogs, snakes, or spiders.
Natural Environment: This can include fear of heights, storms, or water.
Blood-Injection-Injury Type: These phobias include a fear of seeing blood, receiving a blood test, getting vaccinated, or even watching television shows that display medical procedures.
Situational Type: These phobias can be as diverse as fear of airplanes to fear of public speaking; it encompasses fear of elevators, driving, and enclosed places.
Other Types: This category includes all others not covered by the other four types of specific phobias. Examples include fear of sickness, loud noises, and even clowns (coulrophobia).
Mine is a very common one. BIG fear of heights. Maybe a 5 out of 10 on that scale!
See you in a video very soon and thank you all for your support <3

2024-10-25 09:22:30 +0000 UTCThat's a terrific suggestion! I loved The Good Place! Did you know about the Good Place and Hannibal connection? The ShowRunner for the Good Place went to a party that Hugh Dancy(Will Graham) was also attending and since Hugh's father Jonathan Dancy is a well known Philosophy professor asked him to explain his father's book on Moral Particularism. This challenging theory of Philosophy was used and Jonathan Dancy's name was dropped in one of the Good Place episodes

2024-10-24 11:46:00 +0000 UTCHave a lovely and safe trip. I hope you get some relaxation time. π As far as phobias, the only thing I can think of that leaves me paralyzed with fear, is very tight spaces. In a closet doesnβt bother me. Has to be more like, crawling under my bed as a kid to get something that rolled under there. My brain would start to think .. itβs going to collapse on you so you need to get out now. I remember screaming for someone to help me out because I couldnβt move. So, very tight spaces, especially if I feel I canβt move easily, is my phobia. I also have the normal fears of spiders, and many other bugs, but not to the level of a phobia.

2024-10-24 11:44:29 +0000 UTCPushing Daisies is my sister's favorite show! It's a cute one. I'm also new here, and I'm pushing for The Good Place, because it's hilarious comedy but it's really deep and full of heart, and I think it's such a perfect, perfect fit for this channel!

2024-10-24 08:38:39 +0000 UTCHave a nice trip and enjoy your time off! As for phobias, well, I have OCD, so I basically live inside fear all the time! Fortunately I have a great therapist and I manage it well, so I'm not going to count that as "phobia", I think it's a different thing. So aside from that, it's the same as yours: Big big rejection of heights. And it's not a "brain" fear, it's a physical one: my legs just turn to gelatine, even if my mind is understanding the logic that I'm safe. It's also why I can't really comprehend why so many tourist places are just "this building is very tall"! π

2024-10-24 08:32:11 +0000 UTCHave a great trip and since I'm a new viewer thanks so much for the great suggestion of checking out your older vids! Have really enjoyed all your reactions to both IWTV and Hannibal, but I think you do need to mix up viewing these dark intense type of shows with lighter fare. In fandom, a lot of humor is used in art, vids, and memes to lighten the atmosphere. Besides any comedies you already have in mind, I would suggest watching Bryan Fuller's show prior to Hannibal called "Pushing Daisies". It's almost completely polar opposite in tone to Hannibal.

2024-10-24 00:49:22 +0000 UTCOMG Shane. Same. You could not pay me to go on a roller coaster or any kind of rides for that matter. Shout out to your dad, that doesn't sound fun at all

2024-10-24 00:49:03 +0000 UTCI have plenty of fears including heights but pretty much all of them I can handle when I need to. My only real phobia is roller coasters. I won't go on one of them at all. Kind of strange because I'm fine with flying and such. My dad and brother both have a phobia of needles and hospitals in general that I thankfully didn't inherit. Terrible for my dad in the last few years because he's had to spend a ton of time getting injections and other medical things done to him.
