One of my favorite parts of this episode is how at the beginning Higgins says they usually get about 2 players coming to their house on Christmas, but then basically the whole team shows up. I feel like it’s one of the best examples of how much the atmosphere has changed since Ted arrived, not just in the locker room, but across the entire club! Everyone is part of the team and the team celebrates together 🍾

(it snowed 6.5 inches in New Orleans yesterday for the first time literally ever and the entire city has shut down, so I’m binging all your full length content- Sooooo grateful for the cabin fever remedy it’s provided!!) Anyway😅🤣 Irl Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt and Hannah Waddingham are involved with (maybe started?)a charity called Steps of Faith for amputees and people with limb differences in need of prosthetics and financial help for continued care. They hold this concert called ThunderGong every year where different celebrities/actors/musicians perform covers and it’s honestly adorable and incredible and emotional and just makes me love these people even more. Beyond Hannah and Jason’s duet of The Shallows or Brendan doing his full Bad Romance performance among many many other just brilliant covers in a number of collaborations and solos; I have to say that watching Weird Al Yankovic and Will Forte do a straight cover of Chappell Roan’s Hot To Go was probably the most iconic thing I’ve ever seen. Watching two 50-60 year old white men singing a pop hit from an open lesbian who sings quite explicitly about her love for women is the magic my closeted little gay heart needed in the 90’s🤣🤣 It seems they’ve really put their whole hearts into it and seem to be having so much fun. The scene of them singing together just made me really happy because it seems like there’s so much to this show that is true to life to the actors that play these precious, beloved characters and that’s just so beautiful to see😌

Ted Lasso already had 10 episodes written and planned out for season 2 but Apple wanted 12 episodes, so they did 2 bonus episodes. The first being this Christmas special, the other later on in the season. You'll know it when you get there. Just a few fun facts about this episode..the actress playing the dentist and the "ussie" guy are real life mother and son. Also, when Higgins is toasting the players and he's naming all the places they're from, those are actually where the actors hail from.
