April Announcements!

|| NO APRIL FOOLS HERE! ||  

Good morning my Patrons!  It’s time!  I’m back and feeling great about doing art!  I don’t want to make this too long, so let’s get straight to it!

First and foremost I want to thank everybody who has stuck with me during my difficult times.  It means so much to me that you are patient with my lack of new art and even more, sticking with me while I am struggling to find my art direction.

With that said, I want to make it very clear what direction I’m moving forward to.  I’ll break this up into a few sections to make it easier.

|| STREAMING ||

It looks like I WILL NOT be streaming.  It was a great idea, and as much as I would have loved to spend the time doing it, in the long run it just won’t be advantageous to my long term goals.  There is also just going to be a lot going on this summer in my personal life that will be leaving very little time (if any) for streaming.

|| COMMISSIONS ||

I may do a few personal commissions here and there, but I don’t see myself opening commissions for a while.  I’m going through some serious style changes (specifically lineart and coloring) and I don’t feel comfortable charging people right now while I’m working on perfecting it.  I also feel like at this point any commissions I take will not live up to expectations since it won’t look similar to my old art.

Commissions aren’t completely off the table as I can take specific commissions, depending on the context.  I just won’t be opening for giant batches anytime in the near future.

|| ART and THE FUTURE ||

With that all out of the way I’d like to touch a little bit on my future goals and current projects.

I have a dream to write a comic book.  It’s been my dream since forever, and I think I’m finally at a place to start pursuing it.

What does this mean for you guys?  I need a lot of practice!  Specifically, I need practice with doing black & white manga style of comics since that’s what I want to one day use for my original stories.

For practice, I’ll be drawing a lot of DOUJINS (fan comics)!  My current one will be centered around the Monster Hunter: Rise universe, and I will be posting the first few pages of Chapter 1 later today.  Since I won’t be spending any time or energy streaming, my goal will be [eventually] to finish 1 chapter a month.  It may take a few months to get up to that speed, but I like to set my bar high!

The first encounter in “Are Girls Really Monsters?” is the Mizutsune “Mizie”.  I thought it would be appropriate since she was the flagship monster for the demo.  Tomorrow or Monday I will be posting a poll for the next encounter.  They will be monster from the low rank tiers to start.  And then as we go through them we will start including some of the higher rank monsters.  Gotta let our main character "level up" if you know what I mean.  

|| CONCLUSION ||

With all that said, I can completely understand if you no longer want or can support me on Patreon.  I understand that my art direction is changing a lot, so I don't want you to feel any pressure to stay and support me if this is not what you were expecting.  Later this month I will be cleaning out my Patreon of all my old art as well.  Fortunately, you can still find all my old art up on my Furaffinity gallery.   My new stuff will mostly be posted here and up on Pixiv since it doesn't really follow FA guidelines.
