Gym Crush : Blain O'Connor, The Blue Corner

Blain is such a friendly guy to work with and I tested his good nature on this weekend. He flew in on a Friday to collab with others including a shoot with me right after I picked him up from the airport. Different hotel, different vibe. It was a fun shoot (with video).

While there, I noticed my camera acting a little different. It was slow to play back the pictures in the monitor but I figured 'hey if I can see them then they are on the card.' Wrong.

The card somehow became corrupted and what I saw in the monitor was just a very low resolution preview of each file. The full res pictures however would not open in any software. I tried and paid for many programs. There's nothing worse for a photographer than thinking you have failed miserably. Even though I felt like shit, I texted him.

Blain was in such amazing shape that weekend he didn't want to let his look pass so, despite his crazy schedule, we met up again on Sunday for another round. This is the first of 4 sets we did that day.

I did take some shots with my iPhone on that Friday and looking back at those, I actually like this round better. Oh, and the video I recorded on Friday (full length with a happy finish) was on my iPhone so that will be on my JFF later this week. I'll try to edit a Patreon-friendly version for ya!
