2024-08-29 17:36:46 +0000 UTCI have to agree with some of the others here. Merlin has shown himself to be utterly ruthless and morally bankrupt. He also seems to put great stock in prophecy. So when he already knows that Lancelot and Gunievere will be a source of problems, why hasn't he done anything about it? Certainly there were tons of subtle ways to sabotage the marriage.

2024-08-29 16:19:04 +0000 UTCMyrddin has already done some pretty shady (maybe even terrible) things, but he's not going to interfere with Arthur marrying Guinevere despite knowing something terrible is going to come from that union? I'd expect him to imperio Guinevere into killing herself or doing something outrageous that would make it impossible for Arthur to marry her. Even if he wouldn't go that far, what about doing something to Lancelot? Considering he knows that he's attracted to Guinevere as well?

2024-08-29 14:10:34 +0000 UTCPerhaps the stories and legends Harry had heard of Merlin in his own time could have been altered by historians, those who might have known the truth of him might have made such changes in order to paint him in a more positive light or maybe to prevent another like him from happening which obviously failed since Gellert went on the same path of magicals and muggles living in harmony of sorts.
