Eve hovered there for a few seconds as the silence grew, "...That doesn't make any sense. You just explained love and now I'm even more confused. How can you possibly gain anything from that?"

Chase grimaced and scratched the back of his head, "Look, you don't have to understand it. All you need to know is that it exists and is very important in life to me. I'm not saying you need to feel it. Just don't question me when I mention it."

"Fine. I'll just ignore the nonsense words for now... Hopefully, these 'Love Points' or whatever they are can be used to unlock something powerful for you. Let me show you your stats page and how many experience points you've earned."

"Sure. Bring it up."

Chase looked and saw a ton of different skills.

< Lustful Eyes: See the target's kinks and fetishes. Greater chance of a beneficial random encounter. Can be used on self. Gain 5% to Love points if a kink matches the user's preferences. Gain 5% to Love points if a kink is a fetish that the user also enjoys. Gain 10% to Love points if the fetish is a shared kink between the user and target. < Demon's Enchantment: Enchants clothing and armor to a certain degree. Clothing and armor can have different effects depending on what is enchanted. Able to use on self. Can enchant any article of clothing, or armor of the wearer. Clothing or Armor has a 75% chance of changing appearance and a 50% chance of having a special effect. Clothing and armor have a 75% chance of changing into a form-fitting design to be more revealing. Cost: 150,000 L.P. >

< Corrupted Level 2: Allows the user to turn people into vampires, zombies, werewolves, and other kinds of creatures. The rate of infection depends on the person's willpower. Higher willpower means a slower infection rate. Infected targets will be under the user's control. Higher levels can unlock other forms of Corruption. Cost: 25,000 L.P. >

"Okay, So L.P. stands for Lust Points, right?" Chase asked as he looked over the list of things he could buy.

"Correct. L.P. stands for Lust Points," Eve said.

Chase looked at his choices. 'Man... None of these are helpful for fighting or supporting Laila... Well, except for Demon's Enchantment, but it's so expensive! 150,000? It will take me forever to earn that much L.P... Gah! Just grab one of the cheaper skills and see if I can unlock it with the Love Points.'

"Well, I guess I will go for ‘Demon's Temptation’?... I never was good at dancing so this could be useful," Chase said.

"Very well... now just put your finger on the page and channel your energy into it," Eve said.

"Okay."

Chase placed his finger on the paper and focused his energy. He could feel his hand start to grow hot as the book began to glow red. The Grimoire's pages started to flip as it absorbed the Love Points. The glow traveled throughout the page then his finger absorbed the information into his body. He could feel it travel through his veins and into his muscles. Then it felt like his body was absorbing the knowledge into his brain.

Chase turned the page back to his status to see how many Love Points he had left. And when he looked at his status, he became confused.

The Grimoire was also confused as it flipped to the skills page, "I-I don't know, master... I've never seen this before. Try only putting a single Love Point in on a different skill."

"Um? Sure, how about this one? Demon's Smile," Chase said as he tried to ease Eve's nerves.

Chase pointed his finger on the page again and began channeling his energy. He made sure only to put 1 Love Point into the skill. And when he was done he checked his status page to see what happened.

"M-Master. This Love you speak of is amazing!... We have to find more! We need to unlock as many skills and abilities as we can. Whatever you are doing to the minio-I mean Laila. Keep doing it! We must get as much experience as we can!" The book's voice was filled with excitement and greed.

Chase wanted to argue with the book but decided to do what it said. He looked at his stat sheet and checked his Love Points.

"Okay. I do like the idea of enchanting Laila's armor. But I'm not sold on ‘Corruption Level 2’. I'm not sure if I'm going to turn anyone else into something that isn't human."

"Master... You will be going up against the armies of the other Demon Lords... That man you punched out earlier would be a great minio—I mean, Ally... You need to be able to have the upper hand. Corrupting the other races into your army will give you a huge advantage. And you can do to them as you did to Laila... Just give them free will and they will love you forever. Which will give you more Love Points!"

Chase glared at the book and then placed his finger on the pages. He did the same thing and channeled his energy into the page. Causing the magic to flow throughout the paper and back into his hand as the knowledge was transferred into his body.

Eve turned to the next page that had Laila's stats on it.
