"Try and Fail, but Never Fail to Try"

We attempt a lot of shapes and compositions, but a majority never make it out of storage. (Or, we save those files for a rainy day when we have a fresh perspective and clear mind to see an image in a different, more objective way. Is it worth editing and posting?)
Anyway, we had a great time shooting a bunch of nude women on this day--created lots of compositions that were much different for The Naked Desert. For example, in the video above, we attempted to created some shapes with two models hanging from a roof swing. Maybe we do need to revisit these files to edit and post for our esteemed Patrons :)

You could not be more wrong. I (for one) love a) BTS footage - it shows what goes into a great shot and also tells a human story beyond a static image. It is always the human stories that we relate to and remember. Those BTS scenes are fantastic material for advertising in social media with quick and dirty edits, without giving away your high quality content. b) The BTS clips are waaay to short for my taste. A few seconds don't give a good impression about the people involved. Getting to know the models and photographer team on some human level goes long ways towards becoming a fan and supporter. Every business is about the "personal touch" that we are loosing more and more in our high-tech world. Especially in the arts where the value of the product is truly in the "eye of the beholder" :-) c) I see it again and again that artists are way too self-critical and leave many options on the cutting floor. They tend to be too close to their creations. In general, it is best if a 3rd, independent person or team would be that final judge on what material is interesting and what not. (In the movie industry, the producers covering the bills have the last word, not the director on their payroll - until the "Director's Cut" comes out years later .... ;-) My 3 cents ....
