Omg yes to all of this! I was thinking the same thing with his mom.. maybe she gave his baby away or had an abortion before becoming pregnant with Lin Xun. You can also tell with the dad he in his ways manipulate his sons by waving things in front of them… like when he had them go look for Lin Xun. He told them if you find him you can have this and that. Omg when Jun Cheng kidnapped him and then how both him and his youngest brother just went in Lin Xun house without permission shows they are used to doing whatever they want whenever they want .. I am curious to see how this will all end up!

2022-02-23 07:12:02 +0000 UTCSomeone correct me if I'm wrong but what I got from the flashbacks is that the mom WAS pregnant with President Yuan's baby when they broke up and she declared that she would never see him again. But while standing on the cliff face she says she's going to get rid of the baby. (Whether that means abortion or adoption is anyone's guess.) After she broke up with the dad and got rid of her baby, she then met a new man, got pregnant again, then married him. And that kid is Lin Xun. That's why the DNA test is negative with President Yuan. I consider these episodes the series turning point. This is when we finally start peeling back the layers on these brothers. This episode we start to see some of the characteristics of the dad in the brothers, especially in Jun Cheng (eldest bro) and Jun Dao (middle bro). President Yuan is a very toxic, controlling, and entitled person. I feel like this is the ep we really start to see how his influence shaped his kids with the way they each behave with their potential partners. Jun Cheng kidnapping and imprisoning Lin Xun. Then later he just highhandedly busts into his home without permission. Plus Jun Dao's over the top jealousy also raises major red flags for me. Even Jun Ping's arrogance and narcissism feels like shades of his dad. They all are the products of their father's upbringing. What I was most interested in was seeing these brothers navigate and deconstruct their own past and baggage from their dad. Now that the birth secret mystery is out of the way, I feel like we can finally really dig into the characters.
