But Dr. Thomas Hastings through thoughtcast experimentation, had unknowingly linked him to the other world.
Watching the last of the invaders vanish into the void, his victory turned to panic as he felt his own body begin to shimmer and phase!
He was suddenly without form, passing through armored walls and into the open fissure! On the other side corporeal shape returned according to the causality of the parallel world.
Dr. Hastings ran toward the fissure, but it snapped closed and slender feminine hands struck a blank wall.
In this world, Hastings was a woman. In this world, Hastings had no titles and no power. In this world, “Tessa” could feel the eyes of the defeated invaders on her back.
“At least I can claim one prize” said the voice of their leader.
Tessa desperately banged on the blank wall as guards came for her.
