Desperate, Mick scoured ancient books for a cure and found a counter-spell, but it was complicated and had to be cast on the night of the first full moon after she was transformed.
The night of the full moon, Mick gathered her reagents and cast the spell. Nothing happened. Maybe she had to wait for midnight.
Midnight passed. The sky turned pink, the sun rose, morning came. The sunbeam swept down the walls.
No transformation had taken place.
The curse was permanent.
