Another instance of me taking a Reels sound meant for a pet and putting it in the context of a Vocaloid ship involving Kaito. 😂

The idea of KAITO climbing Gakupo like a tree 🌲 was just something I found funny, given the size difference XD .

Shh don’t tell the others, but.. I see GakuKai 💜💙 as a more comedic/slapstick dynamic than an intimate one. I like occasionally drawing them intimate, but comedic takes the cake.

Last summer I remember a few people asking me what I thought about this ship and I said that I didn’t see them as a couple, because trying to have two men be in a relationship, just for the sake of a same sex couple never sat well with me. (Especially given gay pairings are often fetishized in Japanese media as opposed to a genuine portrayal - that’s not to say all Japanese media commodify them in this way! I‘m sure there are a lot of stories/anime that have a more realistic and genuine depiction, but I was never interested enough to look for them 😅).

Over time however (esp in the subsequent fall semester), I developed a keen liking for the two of them.

I later found out I liked them individually, and while a romantic relationship between them was quite cute and fun (and entertaining), I like putting them in comedic scenes more. They’re just two dudes doing silly stuff 😉💜💙.
