Marcelina, Stuttgart, 2014
As a photographer, I'm always looking for models who aren't well known yet. We call that "New Faces." I don't know why, but there's something special about discovering someone. And we all like to be discoverers.
So I discovered Marcelina and had such high hopes for her. But she had absolutely no interest in a career and was much less motivated than I was. So her quote remains in my memory when she listlessly answered "I can't think of anything" when I asked her if she could think of another pose.
Unfortunately, this shoot didn't remain in my best memories. But strangely, I received a lot of fan mail from the USA. Maybe she's made a career there by now and I just don't know about it.
Every shoot is a learning process and here I definitely learned a lot. And the fact that the landlord had the cove molding in his studio freshly painted especially before my shoot also made me very happy.
