I live just a stone's throw from the Roomers Hotel in Frankfurt. During its construction, I passed by the site every day. As soon as it was finished, I mustered up the courage to walk up to reception and ask for permission to do a photo shoot. You always get these silly questions about whether you're planning anything inappropriate and such. Ridiculous, right?
Eventually, they agreed - for an extra fee, of course. Back then, I was lugging around quite a bit of equipment, and I brought along a makeup artist - my wife's hairdresser, whom I really liked. Though in my opinion, she went a bit heavy on Mia's smokey eye look. But perhaps my instructions weren't clear enough.
Mia is a dream model. She was quite an investment for me at the time, but absolutely worth every penny.
