Main project first look! [Alice Madness Returns]

Hello my Sweethearts!
How are you doing? How’s your week? How’s your health?
I hope you’re feeling extra strong and energetic, which is harder in autumn and winter. On the other hand if you’re from cold countries I think winter might be your full power season. )

Today I’m here to share first looks of our main project this month. Since October is traditionally halloween themed month, the project should have a bit of a spooky feel.
That’s why let me present you to Alice from Alice Madness Returns!

Her story in American Mcgee’s vision always fascinated me and I was curious how her journey will eventually end. What I loved the most was the bizarre world created by game developers. What made the game extra special in my opinion was its soundtrack and sound design. Disturbing, unsettling and creepy. Especially in Mad hatter’s clinic (if I correctly remember the location). Very atmospheric game. I was so scared that I never finished the first game (and I don’t like scary game, even if a little bit scary).
But no matter how awesome the first game was, the second one didn’t manage to bring that same SPECIAL atmosphere. It was still beautifully done, interesting to play, but didn’t have something crucial. The better part of the game was Alice’s more mature design and weapon design.
I wish American Mcgee were able to make the third iteration of the game, but as the time went the only thing that people got was an art book. Eh…

Anyway, I’m very proud to share our interpretation of Alice. At first I wanted to shoot her in noir style. The closets example will be how Morticia Adams was shot in The Adam’s Family or any femme fatale in old detective movies.
But I didn’t have an assistant on set, because it needs a lot of light scheme switching back and forth. So I needed to improvise and try to get closer to my desired style.

Since I’m still time to time occupied with migration paperwork, I decided not to separate first looks and share both in one post, because I’m not sure will I be able to share the next post this week.
So today’s post is among the best ones, because it has both clothed and undressed first looks!
