Ursula is one of my all time favorite villains. Her, Hades, and Yzma are my top 3. (I don’t actually love Gaston, he’s pretty awful without being nearly as funny or entertaining).
I just heard that Bea Arthurs was the original choice for voicing Ursula. Could you imagine?
Did anyone watch The Little Mermaid Live? I thought Queen Latifah was great as Ursula. I heard that Melissa McCarthy will be plying Ursula in the live action movie, which — I‘m not sure how I feel about. I think she’s funny and a good actress, but I don’t think she’s intimidating which I think Ursula needs be...she’s just too nice. What do you think?
