I have some very annoying news. 

Long story short, I've found out that my story has been stolen and posted on other websites. That's not a big deal in and of itself. I knew that was happening a long time ago and I didn't really mind at all. It wasn't that deep and was par the coarse of releasing content on Royal road for free.

That however, is not the same as finding out that content I release on my patreon, to people who have paid MONEY for it, has been stolen and placed on other websites. I never thought I'd see the day that someone would pay me and then go on to steal my stuff. 

There's also the whole issue of stories being stolen lately and ran through ai, before being published under a different name. This will cause a whole host of issues if and when I choose to publish my story. I've had to run through the lists of recently published novels on Amazon to make sure my story isn't on their. 

If any of my readers find it anywhere else, then please let me know. (I published a few chapters on scribblehub and tapas but stopped early on)

Whilst this isn't the end of the world, it is very annoying to deal with when I have so much stuff to deal with in day to day life. Because of all the aforementioned issues, there will be no chapter today, and I'll be taking the next week off from writing my story.

If you were the one to take my story and you're reading this, than I kindly request that you take it down. If that's not possible for whatever reason, then please make sure you stop taking content in the future.

Writing can be difficult at times and these added complications make a tough, albeit rewarding task significantly harder.

To anyone trying to look for the stolen stuff, I'd advise you not to. It's on some pretty damn sketchy sites with posts that you do NOT want to see.

Edit- Just to clarify, this break is in no way a punishment of any kind for my readers. I think some people might have gotten that impression, at least from some of the comments on RR I've seen. Punishing everyone for the actions of one individual, or at least a small number of my reader base is foolish and perhaps even a little extreme. It's just that I've spent far less time writing because of these aforementioned problems that I quite literally have not written enough to post a chapter. This week long break is to let me find my pace again. If I get enough free time, there won't be a break next week but I sincerely doubt it.
