As I have been slowly recovering, I was feeling guilty about not getting my usual number of posts up this week. Then, laying on the couch trying to find some energy, I remembered I had finished Cheer a couple weeks ago and just hadn't posted it! So, I do hope you enjoy.
I am fascinated with guys getting turned into cheerleaders. When I started this, it was going to be an illustrated story, but it just seemed pretty mundane, and then the first version of the comic seemed like it was lacking. Finally, after those two false starts, I felt like I had found a way to tell the story.

Some of the uniforms get pretty racey. In the old days, it was typically a short, pleated skirt and sweater. Over the years, the tops have gotten shorter and tighter, with the tummy exposed sometimes. In addition, sometimes they now wear short shorts or leggings instead of the pleated skirt. The uniform for this story might be a little more sexy, but I have seen some pretty sexy cheerleader outfits over the years on the college level. As the story suggests, though cheerleading started as an adjunct to other, male sports, it had evolved into its own sports culture with cheer teams gathering for huge competitions independent of any other sport. Cheerleaders will also attest they actually don't even care about the game when they are on the sidelines-- they are always competing with the rival cheer squad.

I am just curious about US culture. As a TG fiction fan, I have read many stories evolving around football and cheerleaders, but I have zero direct knowledge about it.
