I'm a bit late to this but this was so much fun to watch with you. I'm Swedish so I just thought I would explain a couple of things you might have missed even if you didn't comment on it. First, August calls Simon "sosse" which is translated here as socialist guy but sosse is actually a slang term used to call people who vote for the Social Democrats which is the biggest political party in Sweden and it is generally working class people who vote for them so August calling him sosse isn't really calling him a socialist in the ideological sense but more just emphasising his lower class status. Another thing I've seen some people be confused about is Simon's dad "dealing booze", what he actually says is that he "buys out" which is what we call it when an adult buys alcohol for someone who is too young to buy it at the store. In Sweden you're allowed to drink at 18 but you can't buy alcohol at the store until you're 20, I think Wilhelm and Simon are 16 here and August is 18/19 which is why he needed help getting alcohol for the party. I might comment some more info as I keep watching your reactions, since this is pretty much the only Swedish show to go so global like this it's fun for me to feel like for once I'm the one understanding the little details and nuances that people from other place might not get. 2024-10-07 15:49:13 +0000 UTCThe way the actor playing Welhiem depicts anxiousness is a treat to the eye. I feel so seen during those scenes. The nail-biting, constant awareness of the surroundings, heavy breaths. I love the scene where the prince first sees Simon and hears him singing. It is like the first time he could breathe since the start of the episode.
