With regard to Part 2, IPYTM, there was a new director which shifted the entire tone of the show. Personally I found it difficult to empathize with the characters, and some of the acting felt wooden but BKPP were adorable anyway. Unlike in Part 1, IPYTM was written without any input/references from BKPP so you'll probably find the dynamic, acting quite different. BKPP also stated in interviews that ITSAY was easy and natural to film because they were playing themselves, but IPYTM was a whole new challenge because they struggled to understand their characters' actions and motivations. All in all you can't go wrong with BKPP, but re-watching ITSAY with you made me realize how truly special and timeless it is. While IPYTM feels more like a typical BL. If you liked more of this kind of coming of age stories, with really realistic acting I really recommend SKAM norway if you haven't seen it yet. Season 3 is the one where they focus on the main LGBT character, but the entire show is just about teenagers facing really real issues at school, so well handled.

I'm forever happy that scene with Hoon and Teh exists because it really is so needed for Teh to finally be honest with himself and tell his brother. I wanted to hug Tarn and that we get to feel for her because you see the impact of Teh's realization of his love for Oh-Aew because he did honestly care for her at one point. I just always want to hug Oh-Aew and Teh for many different reasons. I love that point you made about being brave enough to take the chances and that there are those points in life that you think back on and it's like what if I hadn't done that. I would so love for you to watch the sequel bc I restarted it after watching this again with you and oh man the ups and downs they go on in college! Anyways, I'm so excited for this next journey for you and wishing you safe travels and settling down in Thailand! :]

2024-09-26 18:43:05 +0000 UTCTeh and Tarn actors were the best actors on the show. I mean everyone was S tier but they gave everything they had. The devastation, the heartbreak, the helplessness. I skipped just because I was dying to see your reaction to Teh/tarn and Teh/hoon conversation and you echoed my thoughts. I am an older sibling too and I am african too so I have so many feelings that I am not ready to be vulnerable about.
