Omg I didn’t even think of Night being the reason for his blindness. We know his blindness was caused my a car crash- I would bet so much money that Night was driving!!!!!!!!!!! Also- my interruption of what Day’s whole situation is that he didn’t really realize that he lined Mhok, he was so focused on August. And so he is trying to convince himself that he doesn’t like him because he like wasn’t the one he was supposed to fall for. I think that is where the “he’s not my type” thing comes from. Cause Mhok isn’t his type, August is supposed to be his type, and now he has to process that all of that got flipped around on him and that’s a lot. I don’t know- that’s the vibe I was getting.
