Hey Everyone,
Here we are with a fresh city, as per usual writing done by the amazing CriticalOneShots (aka TheWriterWins on discord) and the beautiful battle map for a chase scene done by the great BirdieMaps! Check out their work if you haven't already, you are missing out on tons of amazing maps and pdf resources!
Without further ado, here is a quote from CiritcalOneShots describing this resource and the city of Borellia:
"Welcome to the conservative and religious, temperate coastal city of Borellia. A city built around a famous cathedral with clearly defined main roads and winding, complex alleys!
The perfect site for a high-speed carriage chase! This is the sixth of many collaborations that I'll be doing with the incredible BluBerrey. This, as well as future city breakdown collabs, are patron-only! So go and tell all your fun-loving friends! They're missing out on this exclusive content. Borellia can be a tense and restrictive city, one that only allows followers of the Istian religion! A perfect place to put an object, artifact, piece of information, or valued NPC that your characters need to extract or interact with. This could lead to the high-speed chase that is outlined and detailed in this booklet. This chase encounter is perfect for a party of 2-6 of level 3-7.
The new mechanics introduced in the booklet allow for a lot of variability and flexibility on your part. However, the new system does require attention to detail to track the progress of the chase as well as the learning of a host of new (albeit simple) mechanics. Because of this plethora of new information, I'd say that this encounter has a fairly straightforward DM difficulty.
Attached are high-quality and compressed versions of the PDF! And featured this week is the incredible map-work and design of BirdieMaps! On the final page of the booklet is an encounter map that could act as the setting for the climax of your chase! Go give them some love."
Enjoy the resource and the map, and let me know how you like this new, more weathered map look!
And as always,
Happy Building!
