And there is a plethora of great Gene Kelly movies, but the only reaction has been for Singing In the Rain. Nobody has reacted to truly great Oscar Hammerstein and Richard Rogers musicals, other than the Sound of Music. Oklahoma, South Pacific, King and I, and Carousel are filled with terrific songs. Ashleigh would also love the two excellent Meridith Wilson musicals - The Music Man, and The Unsinkable Molly Brown.

2026-02-20 00:04:58 +0000 UTCANNIE? Really? Ugh. Purple Rain and Earth Girls Are Easy for me. Purple Rain is a killer soundtrack. Earth Girls is a great farce comedy with two Ashley fave actors.

2026-02-19 22:31:53 +0000 UTCMemorial with great music🎼!! Hi Ashleigh! A movie that has a wonderful soundtrack of Cat Steven’s songs, and also would be a good memorial for Bud Cort, who just passed away this month, is “Harold and Maude.” It would be a thoughtful gesture to include Bud Cort for a memorial as he was a talented, although probably not well known, actor. “Harold and Maude” is a touching film that is very much worth watching. Thank you so much!🥰
