EARLY ACCESS: The Thin Man

EARLY ACCESS: The Thin Man

Comments

As happens sometimes, certain characters are so loved by audiences that they start forming the story around those people. Nick and Nora are a classic couple. In many ways, _the_ classic couple. You can see their influence today. There's a type of cocktail glass known as a "nick and nora". And you can be sure "Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist" was not chosen at random. I think you *would* enjoy this much more if you weren't sick. Future movies in the series focus on their banter more, and the story becomes less and less important other than as a way to get them to interact more. Asta the Wonderdog was a star in his/her own right. And if you pay attention, especially in that closing scene, you'll see the adult material that really spices these up. Oh, before I forget, Nick and Nora were based on real people. The author of the book was Dashiell Hammett. He was a detective with the Pinkerton Agency, and was pretty rough-and-tumble himself. His partner was Lillian Hellman (they never married -- shock! horror!) Hellman was a playwright and screenwriter. They were the inspiration for Nick and Nora. The plots of the subsequent movies get weaker and weaker, but once you fall in love with Nick and Nora, you don't care.

Hope you keep watching and will love to see if you can figure out 'who done it' in the next one.

Ones like this are why I miss having something like the MMMember tier. It had its own problems, but everything being done from polls means all choices are the lowest common denominator. I had advised when you were getting rid of the MMMember tier that your draw suggestion on the higher tier might run afoul of Patreon rules, but since then I've seen several large channels do a monthly Patreon suggestion draw. Seems so long as all members get to put a suggestion in the draw, you're within the rules. I'd like to see it so once a month you get a potential gem that wouldn't just be the one most seen poll choice.

Someone let me know if my comments are getting through, please! Thank you. Not sure how long I have left; they keep changing my "endgame." Peace and Love to all of you
