The Paris agreement was basically a way for us to save face while getting out. But it was still seen as a defeat because it didn't require the North to withdraw their forces. Once our forces were out of there South Vietnam's days were numbered. When the North invaded in 1975 it surprised nobody.

Although this is tempting, I'm holding out for the full video. It's been awhile since I watched the whole movie anyway.

When someone is killed or wounded in combat, if possible, which is most of the time, they get medical attention. The dead and wounded are taken away, not left. The only thing anyone would take from a body would be ammo, etc.
This is depicting the Tet Offensive in 1969. The press presented it as proof that we were losing the war. In fact, the Viet Cong (the Communist guerrillas in South Vietnam) were largely wiped out and were no longer a significant factor in the war. The rest of the war was conducted by the NVA (North Vietnamese Army). A peace agreement was signed in Paris in 1972 and we withdrew because the fighting was over. In 1975, the NVA invaded South Vietnam with more tanks than Hitler used to invade Russia in 1941. In violation of the peace accord. We had promised to defend S. Vietnam if N. Vietnam violated the accords, but the Democrat controlled Congress refused.
