I loved this movie as a kid growing up. Stuff like this, Mighty Ducks, and Hocus Pocus were the foundation of my childhood as much as "classic" 80s fare like The Goonies, E.T., etc. that always get mentioned.

Ok if she's going to watch Patriot Games, I think she should watch "Hunt for Red October" first, and then of course after she watches Patriot Games she should watch Clear and Present Danger.

Glad you liked it. Not my cup of tea.
Don't think you got it but the neighbor throwing his wife under the bus to his fishing buddy (plumbing=on her period) is pretty cringe.

You should watch The Incredible Shrinking Man. Similar premise, much scarier.

There was a time where Disney’s Hollywood Studios had a playground modeled to look like the backyard from this movie, my sisters and I had an absolute blast playing on Anty and climbing all over the Lego and the grass.

"Somebody told me tv adds ten pounds. I didn't believe it till I was watching this nature show about ants, and I was like, "Whoah!!!" Those things look like they weigh 10.0001 pounds. I immediately called the exterminator." -Brian Regan

Jaws and Psycho were in Universal Studios. Jaws was removed to make way for Diagon Alley, and Psycho was removed to make way for Kid Zone (Woody Woodpecker, Curious George, Barney, and later SpongeBob) but then THAT got turned into the DreamWorks experience (Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and Trolls).

One of the two saddest on-screen ant deaths. This and Antony from Ant-Man.

I know that Ashleigh mentioned that she has watched Working Girl.
I'm just wondering when it's going to make it on the schedule. 😄

Ok, But if you watched this on VHS cassette as I did as a child, it opened with a Roger Rabbit cartoon short called "Tummy Trouble." Where's the reaction to that?!? :D

Rick Moranis is such a great comic actor. My favorite comedy with him is Strange Brew, with him and Dave Thomas as the MacKenzie brothers. Take off, eh!

We went to Disney World about a year after this movie came out & the MGM Studio park there they had this whole section of props from this movie and did some demonstrations with it. It was one of the coolest attractions they had along with the Jaws & Psycho parts.

I had the biggest crush on the dude that played Little Russ (Thomas Wilson Brown). Another movie with him along with Winona Ryder is “Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael”, it doesn’t get alot of love & I actually really liked it.
