Derideal ep 5-9 - WIP+BLOG

Hey, this is exactly a "bonus" page I decided to include in the comic, this is why the sketch is made digitally and not on paper.

originally, Aden and Laura kiss scene didn't fit in the way I re-imagined everything, so I made this moment in the building where Laura talks to Aden and confess she feels safe with him around... then when I was drawing the pages a year later, I figured the kiss scene was important and the only way to include was to add a new page in-between this scene on top of the building.

Laura is a very introverted character, I think I did a worse job at writing her in the remake story than I did in the original, she had more time to express her feelings and talk in the original, here I sort of messed up, gave her too little to do, just kept her KEY scenes.... in exange of adding more explanation of the experiments, some more scenes to make the whole attack over the Consortium Building make sense and build more the hate of C.WALLY towards Aden (Aden got longer dream sequences too)

I'm thinking to add some extra pages later when the comic is complete, and hoping to add some more Laura background information to the remake, not entirely sure where those extra pages would go or what would it be... but I think it would improve the story a little.

NEW SCENE:

Laura kisses Aden, because she wanted to and probably realizing how much he cares about her and the things he said to her during this part, I didn't wanted them to kiss originally because I felt they were more young and Aden way more inmature.

but I think keeping the kiss scene was improtant, specially for the people who read the original.... so Laura takes the initiative in this part, probably allowng her to feel love for the first time, Aden just going on with it, that's why he doesn't seem to know what to do with his hands in the last panel haha

ORIGINAL SCENE:

Laura confess to Aden that she needs him to be strong and happy like he usually is, then they kisses as she feel more vulnerable than usual.

it made sense to me, she didn't wanted to feel anything until this point where she realized she cared about Aden then thought.
