Before Signing Up: What "Unfiltered" Means (and Doesn't Mean)

We've noticed some confusion about what "unfiltered" actually means, so let's take a moment to explain it clearly. Unfiltered does not mean we're sharing gore, dead bodies, or graphic death footage.
A better way to think about it is that it's closer to what you would have seen on the old YouTube, before the heavier restrictions.
On YouTube or Facebook, we have to heavily censor words and visuals.
On Patreon, "unfiltered" means you get the real version.
It's also important to know that sometimes blurs are completely outside our control.
If an agency provides footage with blurs already added, there's nothing we can do to remove them.
Other times, we may choose to blur something ourselves if it would be too graphic or disrespectful to show.
Out of respect for victims and their families, we won't cross that line just for shock value.
So if you see a blur, it's either because it came to us that way or because it's something that shouldn’t be shown.
"Unfiltered" means you're getting raw language, raw details, and fewer platform restrictions, but not a gore fest.
And there's more: in addition to ad-free and unfiltered videos, Patrons also get early access to select uploads and exclusive case files - documents, photos, videos, and other materials you won’t find anywhere else.

For adults, faces of death is free and available on Roku, ... ROKU! So, I'd love to be spared the Quaker version. EWU seems less uncensored than Roku. Weird.

A little disappointing but still happy to support.

It has really desensitized people, especially younger people, to the horrible things happening in our world. It makes them forget that these are real atrocities happening to real people. It’s nice to see creators that respect the victims and their families.

I don't understand YouTube's restrictions on certain words and things, yet they have music videos with full nudity and worse. I've seen videos where people are cussing and using words like murder, etc. That makes no sense.
