Launchbuddy 4.5.0 – Patchnotes (October 29, 2025)
Added 2025-10-03 20:26:30 +0000 UTC
This update has been a long time in the making, and I truly appreciate your patience and continued support throughout the process.
The current update has been steadily growing in order to make EPIC Games Store Accounts possible. However as the x-pack is coming closer patches and fixes have been prioritized in order to keep Launchbuddy running as soon as the x-pack is released. Therefore this feature has been excluded from 4.5.0. The current progress of this feature is listed below to give you more detailed information on what is going on.
The expected launch date for Launchbuddy 4.5.0 is October 29, 2025, one day after the expansion goes live. Including following changes:
Enhancements & Updates
Loginfile Updater:
A new “SKIP” button allows skipping the entire loginfile update process. Use with caution, as outdated loginfiles may cause failures when multiboxing.UI/Icons:
Several icons were refreshed for improved visibility and consistency.VoE Computer Vision Update (October 28):
The computer vision module has been retrained to correctly identify the updated VoE login window.Expansion Pack ML Update (October 28):
Machine learning models have been reworked and retrained to properly support the new expansion pack and its login workflows.Graphics Settings (GFX):
Fixed a bug where the UI did not update properly after resetting graphics settings.
The GFX Reset button now reimports the current GW2 GFX file instead of reverting to default values. This enables older files to adopt new settings (such as the FPS limiter).
Bug Fixes & Stability:
Fixed multiple startup issues that could prevent Launchbuddy from initializing correctly.
Fixed problems related to login file handling and updating.
Overall stability of the program has been improved.
Epic Games Store Account Progress
Support for Guild Wars 2 accounts via the Epic Games Store is still under development.
The implementation is more complex than initially expected, as Epic accounts behave fundamentaly different from Steam and vanilla accounts. Keeping everything TOS friendly also has a big impact on this feature.
Disclaimer:
Compliance with Epic Games’ Terms of Service has the highest priority. If any Launchbuddy feature is found to violate these TOS, the feature will not be implemented.
Developer Notes & ToDo List
Completed:
Custom game client launcher watchdog for the login window.
Retrained computer vision model for Epic-launched login windows.
Contact with Epic Support regarding multiboxing:
Only one Epic account may be launched at a time.
Epic Games does not allow multiboxing --> one epic acc at a time. Therefore, only Arenanet’s TOS apply, which do allow multiboxing.
In Progress / Planned:
Contact Epic Support about external tools reading launch arguments (EpicUserID, EpicAuthPassword, PortalIds, etc.). These arguments are secure, but parsing them externally could be considered a TOS violation.
Enable gamedatalinker for Epic files: Epic Launcher regularly performs data integrity checks. Updates applied outside of Epic cause mismatches that result in a full redownload. A workaround is being developed.
Create new UI for Account Manager:
Integration with gamedatalinker
One-account-only blocker
New icons and login data backup
Quality Assurance testing: Verify that launching Epic accounts does not conflict with Steam or vanilla accounts.
Comments
when trying to open a steam login instance the "injecting dlls and enabling muiltiboxing" popup stays at 0% and i cant launch this instance/login with launchbuddy and have no dlls
