YO FOLKS~! Here's what we've been up to!

Starting with a Word from Vixel!

4/18 weekly update:

I hope yall had a happy Easter! <3 Last week I finished standardizing all our NPC critters in the upgrade project and brought them all into a big test scene so I could compare them side by side. I can now toggle different parts of a critter (interaction, collisions, dialogue settings, animations, shadow, camera rules) on or off very easily and add any future features to a template critter that automatically pushes updates to all the others. These upgrades bring much-needed efficiency to my cutscene scripting workflow and make it easier to add and manage critters. ^^

Got more of the Act 3 intro quest scripted for this month's build, still piggybacking onto the Act 2 project since that's currently more stable than the upgrade project. Carrot is wrapping up some extra dialogue for this point in the story, so I'll be scripting that into the game this week and continue whittling away at issues in the Upgrade project as well!

We also spent a couple hours together to re-engineer our workflow for some of the Audio-Mini-Game based content! That's right, there's going to be more of those :> 

At is it, our current systems worked for our needs, but we noticed we might be having issues relying on our particular plugin and other systems/browser playing. Not to mention it didn't QUITE give us as much control as we wanted. SO we put our heads together and figured something new out. Should make things a lot more streamlined whenever we get to adding more of that stuff!

Aside from that, I've been plugging away at more Act 3 Assets, including the animation from above! Also got a few more portraits drawn out for dialogue.

I've also done A BIIIT of exploration into a possible "DLC!" It won't be separate DLC, I just mean like, a large chunk of content that would be post-game. We'll see though, still plenty of fish to fry beforehand xD Just started a basic doc for it though and it sounds pretty sick >D

Oh, and I did a few more Patreon Critters too. They aren't all finished just yet, but I've got about 28 critter sprites! And we've got plenty more to go still! We will more than likely be expanding the forest a bit here and there to accommodate! 

Other than that, my eyes have been getting strained and dry again Dx, so I've been trying to take it easy. Must be a seasonal thing. This time I'm much more prepared though! 

Ah, I also set up that bunny render I posted for Easter :O! I should finish that...
