This Week in the Forest! #43

For now the weekly report! Starting with a Word from Vixel!

8/30 weekly report:

Hey floofs! Last week I tackled a bunch of odds and ends we still needed to put in place for the upcoming Act 2 release. Extra sound effects, riding Ollie back across the plains, character spawn locations after Act 2, new examinable objects, and various polish and bugfixing todos.

I also did more work related to the Dustin minigame, including the transitions into and out of the minigame, extra dialogue (and a new portrait for Rascal!), making sound and music respond to volume control, and fixing Training mode (which I had apparently broken since last time!)

Added the Scarlett, Penny and Rascal date - to spawn this: 

• First you'll need to gossip with Scarlett about Penny
• Then play the followup Scarlett gossip about Cloaca Fisting 
• Then talk to Penny about Cloaca Fisting 
• Then play their first date which spawns at 100% chance. 
• THEN you'll get their second date (with Rascal) which spawns at 100% chance!

Also continued working in the Unity upgrade project (for modernizing my code after we release Act 2) modeling the game's actors, character portraits, and inventory data. Here's a screenshot of inventory items from the new database tool! The database tool is like a super fancy spreadsheet that allows checking data rules, linking data rows together (even across 'spreadsheets') and mapping project assets (art, sounds, etc) to rows as a one-stop-shop for managing content. :}

On my side, I've been making more progress on Act 3 animations! I've also been doing finishing touches on the Bucky and Oliver animation. We wanted to get that in this month, but I wanna push it a lil' bit more in some areas, and we're up on the deadline already. 

But we're definitely on track for next month being our full Act Public release! More on all that later!
