I imagine that in this moment, in addition to the moral quandary of her own culpability, she's also thinking about the fact that her normal-looking skin is merely a layer of makeup over permanently-blue flesh, and that before long, she'll start blowing up again- and Whitt's equipment is the only thing that can keep her mostly-human-shaped long-term...

Brian and Suzy probably approached her after the contest and were like "hey we're on your side let's get your friend outta here." Cory ate a piece of the watermelon too, and didn't find out about the seeds being the catalyst til Mads ate a seed. Also there's no way Cory would risk her friends like that, girl was gonna ditch the whole contest effort after finding out about the other watermelon woman.

And since they are both working with/for Cory does that mean the whole thing was planned? Think about it, did Cory convince Mads and Erica to go to the carnival unaware they were being used as bait in order to become "wacky candy producers" so they could finally get solid physical evidence of her aunts evil candy empire. How long have they been planning this, how deep does this go? 🤔🔎
