Finally got to sit down, break out my inking tools, and draw something for this. It's been a while since I've used a dip pen but it was def satisfying to really get into this inks. Top to bottom is finished color test, cleaned inks, and a raw scan of the inks with pencils left in.
Panspermia will most likely be limited color but I think I need to go heavier on inks to make it effective. The blue panel turned out how I wanted right off the bat but the red one I kept floundering on and it just got muddy. I'm going to be experimenting more and worst comes to worst, I'll just use like, "real" colors.
There maaaay be an interruption in process videos. Previously, I inked in an app that automatically recorded. I've already ordered a webcam so I can record the work on the drafting table, but I'm still going to have to work that all out. Doesn't help that I'm the kind of artist that works with their nose 2 inches from the paper...
