Rogue-Like 3/26 update, more customs

Maybe. I tend to like to keep the main character kind of neutral, so people just react to him based on the decisions you've made, rather than "stats."

Just to throw something in here. Maybe you could expand "your" stats out. So what I mean is you can have a STR stat and a INT stat. Add an exta location like the Libary. So when you add Kitty she could hang out at the Library while Rouge likes the Danger room. They each prefer you to buff their liked stat and building that stat unlocked actions you can take. Just an idea.

I took C++ many years ago, and it wasn't fun at all. I never learned to do anything useful. Renpy is a lot more fun because even with almost no talent you can at least get it to "do something," move things around on a screen, which is way more than you can do with most straight programming languages (until after lots of learning). Then I started learning Python as best I could, and I'm still learning useful tricks, but it's a very straight forward and readable language for people who can't think in binary. The Python.org walkthrough is pretty simple to pick up. As for how I break up my patches, it's honestly random. When I release a big one, I usually get a bunch of bug reports immediately, and set to work fixing those, so I might keep releasing new versions every few days until most of the big bugs are gone. At that point, I might be able to release a new version relatively soon, or I might set to work on a major change, which means that the game will be in a "broken" state on my end until that change is finished up, like being in the middle of chest surgery. If I decided to just kick a release out the door, it would either have huge bugs to it, or take me hours to clamp off the major wounds when I could be making the game better, so I prefer to just wait until I have something really worthy of trying out. And sure, "maybe" about the "girl in your room" stuff, No reason why not, I've just got to find the time to write it out. I have the basic hooks that would allow for that sort of thing, in all sorts of permutations, I just need the scene itself. ;) And yes, one of my original ideas was that maybe Rogue could learn to shapeshift, opening up all sorts of options with her, but it ended up on the backburner once I realized how much work the basis were. I have a whole lot of other things I'd like to get in before I even consider opening that can of worms. I also do have some ideas on ways to level the player's powers a bit more, which aren't super important right now, but could be more important in future.

That sounds great! Dude I took a coding class and it was hell......I didn't pass Sadly but I know the kind of stuff you have to do.......I feel for ya buddy. Hey just a small question, how many sub patches to you usually make before a major one? Dude I love shape shifters because they give so many options. Again, that is a lot of work. Do you think that we may be playing and head back to our room to find kitty in our bed lol? That could go the maybe pile right? Oh wait, idea comes to mind. How about if Rouge uses her later ability to use mystique's shape shifting. This could allow her to turn into kitty. Although, with your character's powers, it becomes complicated to make work.

Mystique is always possible, but very difficult since she can shapeshift, and sure she doesn't have to, but if she can, why not, right? ;) So adding her would almost make it necessary to have all sorts of options and I'm not ready for that yet, but maybe later. And yeah, telepathy stuff is on the table, but I don't want to make things too easy. And the "Rogue (or others) joining your shower" is in there as a stub bit of code, I just haven't gotten around to finishing that bit out. Maybe for the next major version (after this one).

Yeah, actually. There are already some cues in there, but I don't think it's currently possible to trigger them. I'll have to get around to finishing that bit. ;)

She's definitely on the short list, one of my other favorite designs from the series. The only reason I'm putting in another few characters first is that she's a bit similar to Rogue and I want to get some more variety in first.

Is there ever going to be a point in their inhibition where the girls don't cover up when you walk in on them showering/changing? Just act like, "Hey Sugar, you showering too?" and just keep showering. Or "Hi there, I was just getting dressed but you can stick around if you like." Or just being really casual about it like, "Nice timing Sugar~! Could you pass me that towel/my bra?"

I like how you think oni. I like the idea of a rep system in the game and using it get to other characters. Maybe make it so that after she can permanently steal power that she can be sent to get professor X's power again to have fun with other girls by making the horny due to stimulating the pleasure centers of their minds. That may be interesting. Still wish that storm or Jean could be in the game but it's not mean to be. lol. Is there a way to get mystique in the game teen form or her normal form? Since in her teen form she pretended to be Rogue's friend and that can be used. Although since the game is after Rouge breaks her mom's statue, that may not happen. I would like it if Rouge jump into the shower with you from time to time mostly when she is all hot and bothered.

Maybe you should consider writing in scenes where you walk in on Kitty and Rogue (and/or others) together in the shower. You know, just having some casual girl locker room time when you step in. Nothing particularly special, just an event where you'd be talking to them both while they're naked/in towels.

Yeah, right now that feature is more for fun than practicality, so there really aren't serious consequences. I should probably throw together a scene similar to the existing Xavier scene in which he calls you into his office to address some "inappropriate behavior," and you can deal with that in various ways. I also want to have some sort of persistent reputation factor, the variable already exists but isn't actually called much, that would change how various other characters would interact with Rogue. I mean, if Rogue is notorious for outrageous behavior, the more goody-goody characters might be more skeptical of her than if she were a lady on the streets and a kitten in the sheets. As I said, one possible avenue for getting Kitty on board is to go through Rogue to do it. You could do that either by Rogue's naughty behavior exciting Kitty's dark side, or by Kitty trusting in Rogue's virtue enough to go along with a potentially dubious situation. In either case, I'd likely reset the reputation with 1.0, and probably offer some cheats there too, so don't worry about "ruining" anything just yet. ;)

Sounds awesome. It's always exciting when you do under the hood stuff isn't it? Makes all the difference in the world for later, but burns up time and doesn't look like much! :D Let me throw some ultra-encouragement at you in regards to all this. Go Oni Go! You can do it! You can do it alll night long! (Had to throw in some Schneider, sorry.) I am curious on your view on one issue, and I'm sure it's something that isn't going to be addressed anytime soon but I've been thinking about. Are there ever going to be consequences to how Rogue dresses in the game? For example atm she can (at max inhibition... still waiting for you to fiddle with how that stat works :P) show up in class in a mesh shirt, stockings and that's it... Any plans in the future for her to be denied the ability to go to class/use the Danger Room based on her state of dress with possible side-missions to overcome those obstacles? (Sweet talking Beast or Storm comes to mind. That or letting Wolvie have a go at her, hey, SS7's comic on my brain!) :P

I got a question on the shower room. Is always going to be one room will it eventually be two separate rooms. One for guys and one for girls to make it more normal?

That's awesome oni and still can't wait to see it. So when this is all said and done, how much of kitty will be available in the next update release? Also, I hope that bug got fixed that basically ruined the public sex options because that was annoying . Every fee seconds someone sees us and stops all the action. Lol
