2025-03-19 12:05:01 +0000 UTCI'm open to lowering the minimum. What do you think it should be?
Tyler Adams
2025-03-18 23:56:15 +0000 UTCI posted this because I wanted to answer questions like this before going live. I love the idea of offering smaller commissions, but I wouldn't be able to do a one pager for $10 or $20 because setting up the scene is what takes the most time. What do you think would be a fair price for something like a single?
Tyler Adams
2025-03-18 23:55:45 +0000 UTCThat's reasonable. If you reuse previously used models, scenery and props, does that make it any cheaper or easier for you, so you still get adequate recompense for your time and effort, or is set-up and creation the same whether you use assets you already own or obtain new ones specifically?

2025-03-18 11:17:24 +0000 UTCYou wouldn't consider doing just a single page comm?
SuperTinyGiant
2025-03-18 10:53:14 +0000 UTCi could never even dream of doing the minimums with the pricing

2025-03-18 00:39:08 +0000 UTCI'd be open to dropping the minimum if there's no one on the waiting list. Would that be helpful?
Tyler Adams
2025-03-17 22:23:57 +0000 UTCUnderstandable, though it's completely beyond my price range. Though when you're commissioning the best, you have to expect to pay what they're worth.

2025-03-17 22:22:32 +0000 UTCAs of now, yes. I'm open to dropping the minimum, but to take on a single project takes a lot and I need each to be worth it for me.
Tyler Adams
2025-03-17 22:19:29 +0000 UTCThe way I'm reading it, that means that your customs are at least $500 and your commissions are at least $1000.

2025-03-17 21:21:47 +0000 UTCI appreciate this, and I may make adjustments in the future, but I work very efficiently so I think this is a win for both myself and the commissioners :)
Tyler Adams
2025-03-17 21:17:21 +0000 UTCMaybe you have your processes super efficient, but that pricing seems lower than you should be charging for the amount of work it almost certainly costs to design, pose, shoot, and export each scene. I suggest upping your base rate and then allowing folks to negotiate from there. Otherwise you are walking yourself to below min wage. But I also get the problem of it being too expensive nobody will ever buy a commission.

2025-03-17 21:13:01 +0000 UTCYeah, I was thinking that. Like a threshold that changes priority and price?
Skippy Hugo
2025-03-17 21:12:01 +0000 UTCI meant that as Minimum, but do you think that's too many pages?
Tyler Adams
2025-03-17 21:00:17 +0000 UTCI'll add that Max varies by workload. That work?
Tyler Adams
2025-03-17 21:00:01 +0000 UTCMight want to put a cap on max pages as well
Skippy Hugo
2025-03-17 20:54:02 +0000 UTCDon't you mean 50 Page Maximum?
