The more professional you are, the better you are at this skill, and it is an illusion to think that a good painter can draw without looking at anything. That idea can be adapted only if you have painted the same motifs so much that your hands can memorize them. So, if you are unsure about your own drawing, please draw while looking at reference materials. That's the way to get better!
