Subscriptions/Processing
Added 2018-09-19 16:52:22 +0000 UTCWhen I first opened my Patreon I had it set to allow people to sign up and just begin processing subscriptions at the end of the month for that month. I found that a significant number of people were subscribing, unsubscribing before the end of the month, then resubscribing the next week to avoid any charges (as always, the few ruin it for the many). As a result, I had to switch the way the subscriptions were processed to be immediately upon signing up. This apparently does not run on a 30 calendar day cycle, and instead re-processes as the end of the month, which can have the effect of someone signing up on the 26th and then getting charged again on the 1st. I am messaging Patreon to see how this can be addressed/fixed. Until then, please be patient, and if you are considering signing up near the end of the month, perhaps wait a week and just sign up on the 1st of the following month until this gets resolved.
