A white boy group in the '90s (Dynamite Hack) did a cover of part of this. The video is pretty funny if you want to check it out.

react to some of the Dr Dre and Eminem stuff. That's when Dre really shines

My grandmother bought me the first NAW album, her face when she heard it.

I love this reaction! This is the type of music that I listened to in my youth. "Gangsta rap made me act like a maniac." - Eminem I hope to see more reactions to rap music. Welcome to the world of Hip-Hop, Amber!

Amber I would love for you to get into some hip hop album reactions. Maybe for the After Hours tier. As a starting point I think Kendrick Lamar or Kanye West make for good entry albums for people who don’t listen to much rap music. There’s plenty of substance and they both have great discographies that can appeal to many listeners. Maybe try “Good Kid M.A.A.D City” by Kendrick Lamar as a first hip hop album reactions

NWA changed the landscape of hip hop in a major way. It was all about New York up until this dropped. They kicked the door in, but it was Ice T that is the true originator of what would be called gangsta rap. Ice T’s “ 6 in the Morning” started it all. I was in high school when straight out of Compton dropped, our parents thought the music was going to destroy us all! Nothing this raw was ever done before! F the Police became an instant anthem!

They skipped over it in the movie but E and Dre had a major feud at the end. Check out real mother fucking g and Fuck with Dre Day for some of the best diss tracks ever made.

You said you watched S.O.C.? Nice! It's a great movie and the beef that Dre and Cube had with Easy up until his death (so glad that Cube and Easy made amends) was one deep set of resentment and betrayal. If you want to check out a really cool video essay about NWA, check it out at this link: The Rise and Fall of N.W.A. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSTadcQdcz4 NWA and Public Enemy were staples in our barracks party mix tapes! -SGT Rock
