I foresee some changes already - for one, I think I need to bring in the Atlas school uniform, which I always thought was a decent bit of worldbuilding in the show to highlight how uniform and strict it is. I missed that one out entirely in this and will add that back in. I may drop a few more scenes between Penny, Ironwood & her father in, since those are important for her development and are absent atm.

I hope it can make you feel more prepared introducing it!

2022-09-06 19:06:27 +0000 UTCSo thankful this is getting a weekly slot. The one semblance reminded me of the my hero academia guy with the transmutation power and whatever. The exam thing is fun as well, and I hope the teams all get fleshed out some. I really like Jaune in this, I enjoy how it is very much a novice with no bad habits instead of a novice, look at him barely scrape by. The Penny misunderstanding is funny, I just really hope that it doesn’t turn into a Jaunedice arc of random team drama. I like imposter syndrome Jaune, because that’s basically who he is, but I like new stories more. And arguably I would way rather see Jaune and Penny fighting Watts as he tries to brainhack Penny rather than a random bully extorting Jaune. The secrets are fun and raise stakes, but I just hope it wildly veers off the Beacon path. (that pun was intentional)
