Hey everyone, here's a writing article about Characters - useful for both original work and fanfiction. Here I look into why characters act as they do, the psychology behind character - and how that should help you make your work believable.
In next month's installment I'll be looking at character creation, making a new person from scratch, how to introduce them over the length of the story (and it should be the full length) and also how to handle their growth as a character.
As always, the word doc is attached at the bottom. I do apologize, but it is around 7,000 words long, so I didn't want to put a wall of text here.
On a side note, I've also shown here a picture drawn for me by my Visual Novel artist, which will be the cover for Stress Relief. Now, this is a bit of a preview, so I'll have to ask people not to take it or throw it around elsewhere, as she hasn't yet uploaded it onto her DA, and won't be until she's happy with it. I (and she) would no doubt rather the majority of people see and appreciate the finished product. I'll include a link to Rachel Marx's page when it's done. But in the meanwhile here is a sneak preview. I have lowered the size a little, just to protect it from being copy-pasted around.
It's far better than anything I could do T_T
EDIT: To read the article attached, you actually need to click on the title, which will open this post in a new page. Then the article will be visible above the title. I have no idea why you cannot see or click it from the main page, but hey-ho... :P
