Reliving The War Update

Hey everyone! Got a RTW update:

Very soon on Reliving The War, Raw goes to a 2 hour format (Beginning in Feb 1997). This is great because we get rid of the much complained about "Unopposed Point", and not so great because it adds even more work to an already VERY time-consuming series to put together. Breezing through the first 60 minutes of Nitro was manageable but now that won't be possible anymore, so I have to make a few decisions.

To keep the show coming out once per week, I have to make some alterations to the format. Every promo, segment and match will still get covered, however the amount of time spent on lower card stuff will need to get reduced. I'll still mention what happens, any high spots that happens or anything that progresses the storylines, but covering every match move by move won't be happening. Opening matches, main events and matches of significant interest will still get fully covered.

Head to heads will get arranged in a way that suits the Reliving the War format; if Nitro spends the first 10 minutes talking about PPV results, then that'll get skipped so we can cover a Nitro match Vs a Raw Match. Again, things of interest will still get covered.

I'd love to cover everything and extend RTW into a 50 minute show but I simply can't do it with other things going on outside of YouTube. I don't want to abandon other video topics either just to cover RTW because it would drive me crazy! That being said, I love putting together Reliving The War and I fully intend to see it through to the end (if anything ever happens to the channel, I'm still going to complete it elsewhere) so these changes are to ensure I can keep doing the series at a consistent rate while keeping the scripting and editing manageable. I don't have the luxury of a team of script writers, researchers and editors, this is as independent as it gets! To put it bluntly, I wouldn't be able to continue RTW uploads if I keep the current format with 2 hour raw and nitro episodes; the series would have to get cancelled. Another hurdle is when Nitro goes to three hours but that's a worry for the future.

In closing, thank you so much for continuing to watch the series (and the other videos on the channel). One day we'll get to the final nitro and the mission will be accomplished! Until then, these adjustments will need to be made from time to time but I'll do all I can to make the series is as good as it can be. I'll just need to try and find a good balance.
