Old and busted: Big ol' stompy Sentinels that are slow and easy to wallop!
New hotness: Zippy lil' tapey bois that don't stop until the target is fully wrapped!

(Maybe a catchier title later.)

I've gushed before about how important Rogue was to Lil' Wossa, so really gave this one everything I had in the hopes of doing her justice! Please check the May dropboxes for the full sequence:

Visually, I wanted to make a love letter to the old animated series (left). The updated hair in the new 2024 "X-Men '97" show fit my style better though, with the simpler anime-style clumps (middle). The colour scheme in '97 is super ugly IMO though, that dark green jacket? The garish yellow? No way, sugar! When I think of Rogue, the image in my head is actually closer to the awesome art from the old "X-Men vs Street Fighter" and "Marvel vs Capcom" games (right). So in the end... I just mashed everything together! Well, more accurately, I guess it's just '97's design with XvsSF's colours. Still, I'm pretty pleased with how she turned out.

Credit goes to Suichi for designing the nifty little Sentinel drones!

And as a bonus Easter Egg, the 'VWEEE' and 'VWIPP' sound effects are directly copied from how the great Adam Warren did them for the classic Tape Boy sequence in his Dirty Pair comic! (image not attached, sorry!)

Oh, and of course the big APPREHENDED label... I'm sure you're all familiar with possibly the most iconic X-Men cover ever: Days of Future Past!

Anyway, enough yapping from me - please enjoy the sequence!
