139 Revenge Angel!
Added 2025-08-05 11:35:14 +0000 UTCThat gaze seemed to have substance—it fell directly on him.
The High Evolutionary’s heart skipped a beat, his scalp tingled, and he felt as if the figure in the projection had come alive!
But… how could that be possible?
It was clearly just a false image, projected by light.
The High Evolutionary tried to convince himself that it was just a machine malfunction.
But then, the figure in the projection suddenly spoke:
"You really don't know whether to live or die."
The High Evolutionary’s expression changed instantly!
The colors in the already-distorted projection began to intensify—until they transformed into something like an oil painting.
The next second, all those colors collapsed and twisted into a vortex—
And the man in the projection walked out alive in front of everyone!
The void fell into a dead silence.
That scene shattered everyone's understanding of reality. It was like watching a supernatural horror story come to life!
Russell glanced at the High Evolutionary, whose pupils were trembling, and said coldly:
"Remember, never spy on someone you don’t understand."
When the Level God Father left, he could hear people trying to call his name, using it to reverse-track his location.
And now, someone had actually dared to project his entire image—staring at it with malicious intent.
And now, they would pay the price.
Russell turned his gaze toward a familiar figure—along with the limp soul being held in the other man’s hand.
It was clear that the woman had been horrifically tortured.
From the current situation, he could easily infer: the temporary servant he had once taken in had been captured and interrogated by the Grandmaster... but she hadn’t revealed his identity.
That’s why they had resorted to projecting an image of him.
“Was staying alive really so bad?”
Russell’s face was cold, like unmelted snow that had rested for a thousand years. A storm seemed to rage behind his eyes.
The Grandmaster saw his expression and sneered hideously:
“You seem to care about that garbage slave. Is that really so impressive?”
Russell’s appearance didn’t scare him in the slightest.
The moment he finished speaking, a blast of lightning exploded from his palm and stabbed into the soul of the pink-skinned woman like a thousand needles.
A piercing scream echoed out as her body convulsed violently.
Moments later, her entire spirit crumbled—disappearing into a puff of green smoke.
The Grandmaster loosened his grip, smirking:
“I thought you’d try to save her. But you just stood there and watched her die.”
“Looks like all you cared about was the shame she brought you.”
Russell’s expression remained blank.
“Shame?”
“No. I just wanted to remember the pain she endured…”
“…so I can give it back to you—twice as bad.”
“As for death…”
“…who said she’s the one who died?”
The corners of Russell’s lips curled up, revealing two rows of sharp, white teeth.
A dark green light flashed through his eyes and condensed into two strange symbols.
But his gaze wasn’t fixed on the Grandmaster.
He turned to the High Evolutionary.
And at that moment, the High Evolutionary felt an overwhelming, indescribable fear well up from the depths of his soul.
He couldn’t help but scream—and fled in panic.
At that moment, a sudden gasp came from the crowd. Everyone’s face turned pale, their eyes filled with fear!
The body of the High Evolutionary was still there—it was his soul that had separated and tried to escape!
But just as he took a single step, he suddenly fell to his knees with a piercing scream!
Dark green lines appeared on his spiritual form—like twisted veins—spreading densely across his entire soul!
In the next second, green flames ignited, engulfing his spirit completely.
At that moment, a calm voice echoed:
"Death is not the end. On the other side... lies a new beginning."
The Grandmaster seemed to realize something. His eyes widened as he roared:
"You dare?!"
He raised his palm, and a dark blue cosmic energy ray blasted toward the flame!
But just as the ray was about to strike, it seemed to sink into another dimension—then suddenly reappeared behind the Grandmaster and blasted him in the back!
The watching crowd couldn't comprehend what had happened. All they saw was the Grandmaster being thrown across the air by his own attack, crashing straight through a building.
The leftover energy didn’t stop—it hit the Bone Village, shaking the entire void!
You could imagine how terrifying the power of that single strike was!
A furious roar followed!
The female warrior who had always stood beside the Grandmaster burst forward with energy surging from her combat suit, charging at Russell like a cannonball!
"Ignorance breeds fearlessness."
A calm voice rang out again. Mid-charge, her body erupted in flames—she turned to ash instantly, collapsing at Russell's feet with the last of her momentum.
The air went dead silent.
Her death was too sudden—too terrifying.
Just one glance—and she combusted into nothing.
Once again, the void trembled as the Grandmaster reappeared, his body battered and torn, floating in the air, his face twisted in rage.
He looked down—and was stunned.
The High Evolutionary, still burning in green flames, was no longer screaming in pain.
The flames began to writhe and twist—condensing into a human form!
Moments later, the color drained away like flowing water—
The pink-skinned woman who had died earlier had now been reborn!
There was no confusion in her eyes. It was as if she had known this would happen.
She dropped to one knee before the man in front of her, lowered her head, and said reverently:
"My Lord... you have saved me again and again."
Russell didn’t reply. He simply placed a hand on her shoulder.
A surge of milky-white energy burst from his palm, enveloping her entirely.
Then—something incredible happened.
As the holy light faded, a woman stood there, clad in a white robe, with flowing white hair and radiant skin.
Russell withdrew his hand and turned to face the Grandmaster—who stood stunned.
CRACK!
The sound of space itself shattering rang out.
To everyone’s shock, the world around them began to shift rapidly!
All matter twisted, reshaped, and recast itself!
Seconds later—a massive arena had formed!
The sky was now dark red, seething with an ominous wrath. Outside the platform stretched a dark abyss, with no end in sight.
Everyone in the void—bounty hunters, traders, residents—had become spectators, seated in the stands!
They looked down—only to see an even more terrifying sight!
The Grandmaster—who had returned with so much bravado—was now chained at the center of the arena by several blazing flame chains!
Just like what he had done to the pink-skinned woman earlier—now, no matter how much he struggled, he couldn’t escape. His face was frozen in pure terror.
Russell gave him a calm glance, then looked at his newly reborn servant.
The next moment, his voice—imbued with a power beyond comprehension—echoed through the entire arena:
"From this day forth, you are the Angel of Vengeance. Your name—Raguel.
Go... and begin your first act of retribution."
Raguel slowly raised her head. Her eyes glowed with pure white light, filled with unshakable conviction.
She replied solemnly:
"Yes, my Lord."
In an instant, a pair of massive, glowing white wings unfurled behind her—radiating sacred power.
