Chapter 816: Still Trying To Get Into The Starting Lineup For The Next Game
Added 2025-06-29 10:54:44 +0000 UTCOutside the window, thousands of Dortmund fans were cheering along the roadside.
They held homemade flags and placards supporting Su Luo and the Dortmund team.
Among them was Emily, the flag bearer of the newly promoted red and yellow team Die Borussia.
She held up a sign that read “Come on, Su Luo!” and waved it excitedly, trying to catch his attention and send her blessings.
The rising wave of cheers only amplified the solemn presence of the Westfalenstadion not far away.
As the bus entered the stadium’s pre-game security zone, Su Luo looked out at the scene one last time.
The entire place was filled with joy and passion.
Whether in the stands or behind the scenes, the home fans shouted and cheered with all their hearts.
Su Luo took a deep breath, feeling the weight of their expectations. A burning determination surged through his veins.
Su Luo had always done his best to prove his worth—not just for the coach or the team, but also for the fans.
He was eager to use his performance on the pitch to repay those who had always believed in him.
The team bus slowly came to a stop, and the players stepped off one by one, waving to the cheering crowd.
Su Luo was the first to exit. He looked up at the Dortmund flag flying high above the stadium.
Today was both important and exciting.
And as one of the leaders of the Dortmund squad, Su Luo felt a profound sense of honor—and responsibility.
But along with the passion came pressure.
Countless moments of youthful brilliance flashed through Su Luo’s mind, each as unforgettable as being in the stadium itself:
Mahrez’s silky dribbling and calm judgment…
Agüero’s sharp attacks and long-range firepower…
Pogba’s fearless control in midfield and ability to bring the team together.
Su Luo told himself that in the presence of such elite players, he must give it everything he had.
Just as Su Luo stepped off the bus and felt the intensity of the atmosphere, a teammate, Hastel, came over, excited.
"Su Luo, let’s go to the bar to celebrate after the match tonight!" Hastel grinned.
"You’ve been amazing in the last few games. You really brought glory to Dortmund!"
He looked at Su Luo with hopeful eyes, clearly expecting a yes.
However, under Hastel’s expectant gaze, Su Luo shook his head slightly.
"Thank you for the invitation, Hastel," he said calmly.
"But I won’t be going to the bar tonight."
Hastel blinked in surprise.
"Why not? Aren’t you happy? You’ve been playing so well—you should be proud!"
Su Luo looked at him seriously and replied:
"I am happy to have performed well, and I’m grateful for the recognition. But I can’t be satisfied with that."
"My goal is to become a consistent starter and maintain a high level of play. I feel like I’m in good form right now, and I want to return to the training ground as soon as possible to keep preparing for the next match."
Hastel stared at Su Luo, clearly surprised. He knew Su Luo always pushed himself, but he hadn’t expected such focus and discipline.
"You mean you’d rather train than celebrate a win?" he asked in disbelief.
Su Luo smiled slightly.
"Yes. I need to stay focused and composed—not just to perform well, but to earn my place in the starting lineup for the next match."
His tone was calm but confident.
