Ok, now I have seen your reaction. Hmmm. I agree that to get to a good stopping point they are going to have to speed things up. I question what they could have thrown in to make it more interesting, since there is nothing else to throw in at this point. They would have had to skip something instead. Even if they stopped everything they're doing now in order to get to the "good stuff", that in itself would need its own setup. ....... Yes, if you remember who owned the land before Clayman did, it's quite suspicious that Kagali was introduced to Rimuru at this time, and with the experience she has. Even the LN doesn't show what Rimuru's thinking about Yuuki since the events of Episode 11 this season. But I don't think Rimuru forgot. He still wants proof of Yuuki's involvement. So we should ask ourselves, how can he do that? ........ Masayuki has gotten used to his Skill making everything turn out. He doesn't just have to stand up to this constant hype as if it was a normal situation, he's got his own Skill working against him. Also, he is still only 17. I don't know what would happen if a bad type of person resistant to his Skill comes along, but I think it's a possible problem. ..... By involving the dryads, the elves, and the mystic fox (whose name I'm forgetting rn), I think the overgrown forest in the dungeon problem is manageable now.

Also I forgot to mention: the latest volume of the light novels of Slime was released today. Thought that was cool.

I am going to say something radical here but I think a big part of the existence of this arc is just for a lot of the characters to get together. Yes, there is plot here, but the main characters are Tempest and the World. We know some more important characters, and there was some character development. I call the first cours the most political in Slime, and this one the most economic, but a big part of it is just slice-of-life. I think people are going to be surprised about the trajectory of the rest of this season. I say this because I have learned this season that some people are relatively dismissive of what I would call a major event. For an analogy, a major turning event in history or a war doesn't have to seem dramatic at the time. It's only afterwards that people see the significance.

I don't know whether you will ever see Tiss react to Diablo because Tiss is a character created for the OVA's. The fact that we saw her here at all is extra, as in the LN it was another teacher whom Rimuru met when he came to get the children, and who did not even go to Tempest with them. I mean, they could put it in, but it would be unnecessary.

As someone who’s been reading the light novels, the angels won’t make an appearance until the story arc after the next one. Sorry for the disappointment.

I do agree that this season, especially the second half, has a very slow pacing, but it feels to me like they're building up the festival through stuff from the previous seasons. For example, one of the things that I'm curious about is how Tiss will react to seeing Diablo working for Rimuru, as she had an encounter with him during the season 1 OVAs and her deal with him is to never tell that he was there. Almost every character that we've seen so far in the anime seems to be en route to the festival, so that could lead to all sorts of situations. I'm also curious if the angels that were mentionned in the first half of the season will eventually show up at the festival (and if they attack, we would either get an alliance from every nation present there, or a chance for Tempest to show its strength to the rest of the world).
