Been a pleasure watching you guys react to this anime. Your discussions at the end were great. Hopefully in the near future there’ll be a season 2, but with how packed A1 is right now, probably not until 2024 the latest. And with this first season, that’s volume 1-3 of the LN covered. And with 12 volumes so far, they have plenty of content to adapt, so here’s hoping for plenty more seasons in the future.

2022-10-05 18:13:25 +0000 UTC86 is one of my favorite anime of all time. It touches on so many meaningful themes without being overly preachy about them and does it in such a visually beautiful way. This episode was originally the epilogue in volume 1 of the light novel, as 86 was supposed to only be a one-shot story, but it gained traction and is now around 11-12 volumes long! So there's a lot of content to be adapted into multiple new seasons. But right now, A-1 has a lot of major projects going on, so I don't think they have room for another season of 86 right now. Hopefully in the next few years. With the production issues, there were a lot of breaks. That's why so many fans joke in the comments of reactors that they gotta wait 86 days after episode 21 to watch episode 22 lmao. I remember binge watching this in like January of 2022 when I was laid up in bed with a severely sprained ankle and I was SO UPSET that I had to wait for those last 2 episodes that I just bought the light novels and read them just to see if they all survived past episode 21 lol. Also, did you notice? At the end, when Lena and Shin go to hold hands, the shadows of their hands make an 86!
