The post was supposed to go live yesterday at the usual schedule, but editing took forever (Ｔ▽Ｔ) I'm writing this at 3 am hahaha, and I’m not sure if I can keep my thoughts straight while doing this. Apologies if my sentences seem a bit off structurally.

The Short Story

Here’s the original script I had from years ago (from the time I created Caroline High). I’ve made some edits here and there since then. It’s not 100% identical to the Visual Novel version.

Disclaimers regarding the Short Story:

- I did all the translations with my little-to-non-existent Chinese and Japanese languange skills, relying heavily on Google Translate and ChatGPT. Personally, I’d prefer a human prowess, but in this case: my skills are bye-bye, I can’t afford to hire one (not yet, anyway!), and I doubt any professional translator service would take on a... rather questionable fiction work ( ༎ຶ⌑༎ຶ )

- I’m pretty sure the Japanese version suffers because I did the translation veeery late at night with my brainpower running on empty (Ｔ▽Ｔ)

- If you’re a native speaker and want to help with the translation (though I’m sorry I can’t offer any monetary compensation at the moment Ｔ▽Ｔ), please let me know!

- As is often the case with translations, some nuances or contexts might get lost. If you have any suggestions for improving certain terms, scenes, dialogues, or anything else, please drop a comment below or send me a message! I’d like to learn as much as I can.

Please be mindful that this is still experimental ╥﹏╥ I'm using Tyranobuilds and I still haven't change some of their templates... yet.

Here's my to-do list if I decide to continue with the story:

- Create a custom and polished UI

- Use high-quality and professional sound/BGM

- Experiment with other engines like RenPy

- Add more languages (Besides Chinese and Japanese, do you have any recommendations?)

- COMPRESS THE FILES!!! I should have done this before uploading, but I realized that Tyranobuild didn't automatically update variables with newer files (Ｔ▽Ｔ). So, I had to update everything manually... And my lazy ass just couldn't... Hahaha... Sorry if the file size is huge for just a few minutes of content... I'll definitely do better next time...

- Add the next chapter

- Improve the narrative/literature (grammar, nuances, etc.)

- Enhance the background. Right now, it looks like raw 3D from SketchUp T_T

- I am using free-to-use resources, the credits are listed here: Falling Body, Camera Shutters, Gunshot, Boiling Soup, Ambient Road Side, Zipper Closing, Playfair Font. In addition to the items listed, all other assets (such as 3D backgrounds, textures, and images) are my property, whether they were obtained through purchase or created by me.

- Many of the artworks were completed at the last minute and some were over an extended period of time T_T I apologize again for the lower quality of some pieces, especially the body bag section.
